Contribute with my research
My current research project involves developing a statistical model that enables for estimating the projected lifetime of modern and contemporary textile heritage objects and their collections. The model takes into account material degradation patterns and environmental factors, as well as objects’ values, significance, ways of use, and stakeholders’ expectations for their duration and preservation. We hope that it can be used as a tool to aid in decision-making towards the management and preservation of textile heritage collections.
You can contribute with the research by completing the survey linked below. You will have to use a textile heritage object that you have access to (in-person or remotely) as a reference for answering the survey questions. If you are not a heritage professional or researcher, consider visiting an exhibition in your area to choose a reference object. All persons 18 or older are welcome to participate! The survey should take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
